Lesson Study: An Introduction

This DVD is designed to present a general overview of the lesson study process and to provide to answer questions frequently asked by American audiences when they hear about lesson study for the first time. Makoto Yoshida at Global Education Resources, L.L.C. created this DVD in collaboration with Clea Fernandez at Teachers College, Columbia University. Video footage and materials used for this CD-ROM were collected by Yoshida at Tsuta Elementary School in Hiroshima, Japan as part of his dissertation work: "Lesson Study: A Case Study of a Japanese Approach to Improving Instruction Through School-Based Teacher Development" (1999).
