GER Math Kit A provides helpful tools from Japan to develop students' conceptual understanding of numbers and addition and subtraction operations. They are used in Tokyo Shoseki's Mathematics for Elementary School 1st Grade textbook.

Number Blocks and Cards
Number Blocks help students to develop number sense and are especially helpful to develop students' understanding of place value and regrouping. Unlike traditional base ten blocks, these magnetic blocks come apart and can be put together in a 10-unit metal tray to enhance activities for composing and decomposing numbers. They also come with their own special case.

Flower Counters
Two kinds of Flower Counters are included: magnetic and non-magnetic. The magnetic Flower Counters are used to develop number concepts through counting and one-to-one correspondence activities using with a specially designed metal tray. Non-magnetic Flower Counters are used with a specially designed container to develop students' skills for decomposing numbers.

Ten-frame Dot Cards and Numeral Cards
Ten-frame Dot Cards help students to visualize the quantity of numbers and are a helpful tool for making connections between numerals and their quantities in relation to 10. Numeral Cards are used for calculation activities and help students to express math sentences.

Basic Addition and Subtraction Facts Cards
These ringed cards are divided into 4 groups to enhance students' different level of calculation skills:
Addition (1): 1-digit plus 1-digit addition facts with sums less than 10
Addition (2): 1-digit plus 1-digit addition facts with sums greater than 10
Subtraction (1): 1-digit minus 1-digit and 10 minus 1-digit subtraction facts
Subtraction (2): 2 digit minus 1-digit subtraction facts involving regrouping
